Right, enough of the goodie-goodie character. I had this idea a while ago, not specifically for here, and I decided I might as well try it.
Name: He has forgotten his name, so he simply calls himself and his symbiote Wormwood
Age: 314
Height: 5'9" due to extreme hunching, but he would be much taller if he stood erect.
Build: Solid and strong, with a hunchback.
Powers:
One: Wormwood: His entire right arm, shoulder, and much of his chest is either encased in a strange grey wood, or is that wood, he isn't quite sure which himself. It houses a hive of worm-like creatures, hence it's name. He hears their thoughts in his mind, and can direct and control them
Two: The Swarm: Grown forms of the worms, resembling small scarabs, fly out of the wood and attack his enemies. They hunger for flesh and blood to feed the hive.
Three: Venom Armor: Tiny beetles crawl all over his body, and anything that attacks him goes through them first. They crawl onto weapons that attack him, then attempt to burrow into their user.
Four: Gift of the Hive: Two arms made of wormwood grow under his normal arms. They are spiked along their length and tipped in three foot scything talons (Tyranid-style). They can be folded and hidden under his cloak. They also act as his other wormwood growth, housing the worms.
Looks: Half of his face is encased in wormwood, the eye sunk deep within it. The other half is pale and unheathy-looking, and the eye is a bloodshot red. He has a short beard, and is usually covered in a ragged cloak.
History: When he was 19, he was hunting in the woods. He came upon a strange altar in the woods and investigated. When he touched a knife on the altar, he was shocked and fell back. He cut his right arm on a piece of wood that was tainted by the magic performed there. He noticed nothing for a week or so, but then the cut, which had mostly closed by then, grew shiny and hard. Eventually his whole arm was covered and turned into what he now calls wormwood. Soon he started hearing voices in his head, and eventually realized they were coming from a hive and insects in his arm. The wormwood is continually growing, taking over more of his body and mind. Ostracized by his village, he left and has taken to wandering the world, leaving once people find out about his "condition" and reject him. During this time, he found that the wormwood was sustaining him and keeping him alive. He hopes that Blood City, which he has heard accepts the strangest of creatures, will be more tolerant of him, and perhaps die of old age, whenever that may be.
Race: Human, more or less.
Friends: None.
Weapon: A heavy maul, which he carries in his left hand, as well as the extra arms of wormwood. His right arm is stronger than normal, and can be used to beat his enemies.
I'd like to thank Crazy Jake for giving me the idea of making a slightly insane, grungy character.
