Chaos Spear: Atra can charge up Chaotica energy into a spear-shaped lightning bolt. If it is released before being charged to its peak, he unleashes smaller blue lightning bolts. Despite being somewhat weaker, they have the advantage of a faster rate of fire. Chaos Spear is also capable of paralyzing opponents
Chaos Control: Uses Chaotica energy to warp space. Atra uses it mainly to transport matter. The move actually allows the user to manipulate space to warp across it.
Chaos Blast: A shockwave of energy that deals damage to anything and everything in a circular radius range. When this attack can be formed, Atra's eyes and the streaks in his hair begin to glow red.
Chaos Regeneration: Uses Chaotica energy to heal the target and sew wounds back together, although in some cases a minor mutation may occur.

Fifty years ago, Atra was created in a lab, designed to be the Ultimate Life form. However, the lab was found out, and he was hidden away. Fifty years later, the cryo tube he was stored away in was discovered, and taken to Blood City for further study. Atra has no memory of his creation.

Atra is a "lone wolf" who distances himself from others. He always remains serious and no-nonsense. He is always willing to do whatever it takes to get what he wants or achieve what he believes is right. He will destroy anyone or anything that gets in his way--even if this involves the destruction of an entire planet or himself. This nature seems to cause him to treat enemies more like obstacles to be swept aside than any actual foe. Despite his violent tendencies, Atra has shown that he is capable of compassion, and has also been shown to be extremely loyal to who he deems worthy, following their instructions without questioning morals.
