1. Blood Born: Blood Born: Esper constantly tastes blood, and nothing she does will make it go away. She cannot taste or smell anything other than blood. Some say she was blessed by God at birth, or is an angel in human form, but whatever the truth, she does not age and is immortal.
2. Tears of Blood: Esper cries tears of blood, and her eyes turn red. When this happens she does not feel pain or any other sensation, able to ignore the most terrible of wounds.
3. Blood Saint: Blood pours from Esper's eyes, mouth, nose and ears. The blood completely encases her body, forming a kind of liquid skin over her and her clothing. Two wings appear on her back, made out of blood as well, and she is actually able to fly with them. Wherever a blow strikes the bloody armor it will harden instantly, stopping the blow but making that part of Esper unable to move due to the solid encasement. She can cause the armor to fall away at will.
4. Blood Flow: Esper cannot bleed out. She seems to have a virtually endless supply of blood, and no matter how much she loses it will not affect her in any way.
5. Blood Geyser: Esper can cause a black hole to appear in any surface within her sight. It starts as a pinprick hole and enlarges within a second to a foot in diameter. A fountain of boiling blood erupts from the hole, scalding any that it touches. Only one may exist at a time, and the geyser lasts a few seconds.
6. Blood Strung: The string of her crossbow is stained red by blessed blood, and it makes the bolts fire with far more power than is normal for such a weapon. The bolts themselves cause anything they hit to bleed. If they strike a stone wall, drops of blood will fly instead of sparks, and the mark left in the stone will bleed like a wound.
7. Streamers of Blood: her billhooks seem to bleed, leaving streamers of blood behind them wherever they go. They only do this when unsheathed, cleaning themselves when they enter their leather casings.
Looks: Esper is a small girl, slender and short though definitely feminine. Her black hair falls to her shoulders, seeming cut roughly by the girl herself. Her skin is pale and everything about her makes her seem delicate. She wears loose brown pants and a shirt, with a tan hooded cloak, the clothing of a pauper. Her lips are ruby red, a strange contrast to her poverty and pale skin. She often has the hood pulled down, shadows hiding her face.
History: Esper was born into a poor family in the Slums. They had hoped for another child to work and earn money, but she was born blind and so they despaired. Unable to support another child who brought them no income, the family left her at the city church. She was raised in the school there, and became extremely religious. As she grew older her powers came to light and she realized that after 19 she does not age. She became rather famous, called the Blood Saint by many of her fellow Christians. She sees blood as something sacred, tied to divinity through the blood of Christ. This is why she developed a particular hatred for vampires, killing them whenever possible. She is a sweet girl usually, though she does have quite a temper.
