Name: Marcus Stafford
Age: 27
Height: 6'2"
Build: Average
Power:
Geokinesis: Has the ability to manipulate earth and rock, in all its various forms. He can create objects out of the rock such as cages and bridges as well as weapons like swords, spears and clubs/maces. He can only use his power if he is in direct contact (i.e. both feet touching the element) with dirt, mud, rock and sand. He can only manipulate these objects for 15 minutes until he gets severely fatigued, making the objects he has made crumble into tiny pebbles, as he has not yet mastered his ability yet.

History: Marcus Stafford passed High School with flying colours earning him a scholarship in Pedology at a relatively unknown university some where in the state of Nevada. With his bags packed and his personal life put in order, Marcus set off. From the day he got the scholarship something just didn't feel right, but he didn't pay any mind to it. Shortly after his arrival to the university, which was rather small compared to your usual university campus' in the US, Marcus was approached by a stockily man in a white lab coat who introduced himself as Dr. Rex Ormand, the Dean of the university. After the meeting Marcus, for some reason, just didn't want to trust the man.
A few hours after his orientation and tour around the university, Marcus was again approached by Dr. Rex Ormand who proceeded to tell him that he needed to get inoculation to prevent him from contracting Melioidosis, a dangerous bacteria that lives in the dirt. Yet it was not a Melioidosis inoculation. It was a DNA sequence changer. But Marcus being Marcus, yet again shrugged off his doubts and agreed to the inoculation.
Three weeks later Marcus' class mates started noticing a change in his behaviour. During a party the same week as his behavioural changes, Marcus loses control going into a psychotic rage and beating four people to near death and putting one in a coma. People at the party do not know what it was that sent Marcus into a rage as he was acting normally when he arrived.
The next day Marcus winds up in court trying to plead his innocence as he does not remember anything about the night he went out of control. The judge gives Marcus a choice. Either serve three years in prison for his crimes or serve in the military for four years. Not wanting to go to jail, Marcus chose to serve in the military.
Two and a half years after Marcus' psychotic rage incident, he finds himself in Afghanistan as a combat engineer deployed with the US Army. During his deployment Marcus' unit receives a distress call from a broken down supply truck ten kilometres from the base. Quick to respond his team of fellow engineers and a security detachment head out to the scene not knowing what lay in store for them. Once again Marcus has another bad feeling about the situation and tries to opt-out of it but cannot. Marcus' feelings about the situation being bad turned out to be correct as the convoy they were in becomes ambushed. RPGs fly all around the convoy, one of which hits the truck he is taking refuge in sending him flying out of the truck and onto the ground. In a daze Marcus manages to prop himself up onto a rock, not noticing the enemy soldier sneaking up behind him. Turning around to face his would be attacker, Marcus' is struck in the side of the head by the attacker, nearly knocking him unconscious. Not wanting to take a chance at having Marcus to fight back the attacker aimed his rifle at the 27 year old soldier.
Accepting the inevitable outcome of the situation Marcus shuts his eyes and shields his face with his arms. Awaiting his fate Marcus feels the ground beneath him tremble and shake. What came next was not the sound of a 7.62mm round hammering out of the barrel of an AK-47 Assault Rifle, but the blood curdling scream of his attacker being crushed to death by two pillars of rock sprouting diagonally from the ground. Not knowing what he was looking at Marcus scrambled back in shock.
Upon returning to the base with the remaining members of his unit, Marcus decides to check the video footage of the camera mounted on his webbing to determine what exactly happened. Studying the footage of the incident he discovers that it was him who produced the rock pillars, by subconsciously putting his free hand into the soft dirt. To get more answers as to what happened, Marcus discharges from the army due to PTSD. whilst wandering the streets of his old town a mysterious man stops him and hands him a piece of paper.
"The answers you seek can be answered at Blood City"
Before Marcus could look up from the piece of paper the mysterious man disappeared. Marcus ponders on his strange encounter for a while as this is not the first time he has heard of Blood City. He distinctly remembers an old high school friend of his did a scholarship program that shipped US school kids to the city
Determined to find the answers to all of his questions, Marcus phones this friend of his and heads toward the UK, Blood City and hopefully some answers to his many questions.
